My Story

My path to emotional healing began with my own search for peace. Like many of the people I now work with, I once carried deep grief and pain that I didn’t fully understand. Over time, I discovered that healing isn’t about escaping our emotions — it’s about learning to meet them with presence, compassion, and curiosity. That realization changed everything for me.

Through decades of study in counseling, body-centered therapy, meditation, and energy work, I found practices that helped me reconnect to my heart and to life itself. I began sharing these tools with others, and what started as a personal journey grew into a calling to help people heal from the inside out. For over 25 years,

I’ve had the privilege of guiding individuals and groups through grief recovery, emotional transformation, and spiritual awakening. My work is grounded in one belief: when we face our pain with awareness, it becomes a doorway to deeper love, aliveness, and freedom.

About My Work

Many of us hold old emotional wounds that affect our lives and relationships. As these heal, we can open up to the joy, love, and light available in each moment.

Life can bring us deep losses that are difficult to cope without the help of others:

  • The death of a loved one

  • The ending of a significant relationship

  • The loss of one's career or abilities

A gifted intuitive, Jon supports healing and awakening at all levels: body, mind, and spirit. Jon is an ordained minister, psychotherapist, energy healer, meditation teacher, and retreat leader.

As a seasoned professional, he offers a different approach to healing and awakening that integrates years of professional training with direct personal healing and awakening experiences.

About Jon

Jon’s lifelong journey into inner light, emotional healing, and embodied spirituality began at age five with a spontaneous experience of radiant light — a moment that opened a path of exploration into consciousness and transformation.

As an undergraduate at the University of California, Santa Cruz, Jon studied psychology and joined a small group exploring global spiritual and psychological traditions. This led him to the School of Actualism, where he trained for 18 years in Agni Yoga (Inner Light-Fire Meditation) and energy healing. He later became an ordained interfaith minister, advanced meditation teacher, and President of Actualism, directing one of the first holistic health centers in the United States.

Jon has taught hundreds of students, trained practitioners, and led healing programs that integrated Eastern and Western practices, including meditation, psychotherapy, and bodywork. His training spans CranioSacral Therapy, Reiki, Touch for Health, Core Energetics, and Transpersonal Psychology.

He holds a B.A. in Psychology from UC Santa Cruz, an M.A. in Transpersonal Psychology from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology (now Sofia University), and advanced graduate certification in Marriage and Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling.

Since 1998, Jon has integrated Process Therapy into his work, combining psychological insight, spiritual depth, and somatic awareness. As a long-time faculty member and retreat leader at Shalom Mountain Retreat Center, Jon continues to guide others toward healing, wholeness, and awakening.
